What Makes Your Travelers Feel Safe

Recently, EWA Travel decided to conduct its own travel survey to determine the current impact of travel within our client's organizations and found some insightful information. As we begin to see some clients reconsider business travel in the last quarter of the year, EWA understood how essential input from travelers would be.

With a strong focus on personalized travel, EWA Travel understands the importance of bridging the gap between corporate policy and traveler preferences. For that reason, EWA Travel reached out to personnel within the international NGO space for organizations to better navigate through their return to travel.

Giving Your Employee’s Peace of Mind
To get a better look into the mind of the business traveler, we asked what some policies have raised their comfort level. At 59.02% of the responses, mandating face coverings was the most well-received, followed by social distancing efforts, such as middle seat blocking.

We found that there were two areas that your organization may want to keep in mind when considering traveling again.

If you haven't yet, it may be time to update your travel policy.
In the wake of COVID-19, roughly 69% of our respondents have made updates to their organization's travel policy. Additionally, 58% of respondents have created a separate COVID-19 policy that addresses current internal processes.

Are you offering you travelers PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) prior to traveling?
Due to COVID-19, many airlines have taken several safety precautions to limit the spread. As mentioned before, 59% of respondents expressed that airlines mandating face masks during flights offered the most peace of mind from the options listed. It could be worth it to offer face coverings to travelers to use as they prepare for their next trip.
